The Chief Safety Officer (CSO) holds overall responsibility and authority for final decision-making on safety and health management matters, and based on this, enhances the effectiveness of safety and health policies and systematically manages risk factors across all workplaces through prompt decision-making. The Safety and Health Headquarters is responsible for company-wide industrial safety and worker protection policies, and establishes strategies and action plans for serious accident prevention and safety and health risk management. A Chief Safety and Health Officer at each workplace is responsible for safety and health matters in their respective workplace, with dedicated safety and health departments and supervisors operating and supporting these efforts. Hanmi Science sets and operates KPIs related to safety and health to prevent industrial accidents in all workplaces, and plans to introduce a performance-linked compensation system in the future to strive for more practical industrial accident prevention.

Operation of Safety and Health Online System
Hanmi Science has been operating a customized safety and health online system since 2025 to enhance the efficiency and on-site applicability of safety and health management. The safety and health online system is designed to manage all aspects of safety and health operations, including safety and health regulations and policies, safety inspections, and risk assessments for each business site. It monitors safety and health activities across all business sites in real-time and significantly improves accessibility for operational departments through mobile integration, thus efficiently and systematically managing company-wide safety and health matters.

In accordance with the self-regulatory prevention policy of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Hanmi Science has adopted and operates a self-regulatory prevention system. This system is Hanmi Group's unique safety and health management framework, where each business site proactively identifies, improves, and monitors potential hazard factors that could lead to safety accidents. Hanmi Science conducts an annual pre-identification of hazardous and risk factors for each business site and comprehensively analyzes existing risk assessment results, internal accident cases, and high-risk factors for industrial accidents to determine the scope of management. The identified risk factors are reflected in the biannual regular safety and health diagnostics (diagnoses by external professional organizations and headquarters-led diagnoses) and are subject to focused inspections. Based on inspection results, necessary improvements are prioritized and acted upon. Furthermore, through safety culture awareness surveys targeting employees, potential risks that may arise during work are identified, and follow-up measures such as strengthening education and improving procedures are pursued. Hanmi Science also systematically manages assessment results and improvement implementation status through an integrated risk assessment management system based on its own online platform. Additionally, all employees are guaranteed the right to stop work and report if there is an imminent danger or concern for health impairment. Based on the self-regulatory prevention system, Hanmi Science plans to continuously strengthen its risk factor management capabilities at each business site to create a safe working environment.

In accordance with its self-regulatory prevention system, Hanmi Science conducts third-party safety and health diagnostics by external professional organizations and headquarters-led safety and health diagnostics once every half-year. Risks identified through inspections are categorized into critical risks, warnings, and recommendations for improvement, with actions taken based on the priority of each grade. Furthermore, by sharing best practices and improvement tasks among business sites, the company promotes the upward equalization of safety and health standards. The results of these diagnostics and inspections are reflected in management reports and subsequent improvement plans, playing a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of the self-regulatory prevention system.

Our company complies with the regulations related to work suspension under the Industrial Safety and Health Act and prioritizes the creation of a work environment where safety is paramount. In preparation for situations involving imminent danger, the company has established an internal procedure — immediate reporting upon recognition of risk signs, followed by consultation with supervisors and relevant departments, and, if necessary, work adjustment or temporary suspension — and communicates this procedure to employees through regular training. Through this, we go beyond legal compliance to proactively reduce the possibility of accidents and strengthen a strategic risk and opportunity response system that enhances process stability, equipment reliability, and employee trust. In addition, to minimize damage through swift and consistent responses in the event of serious accidents or industrial accidents, we have established and operate an emergency reporting system.
Serious Accident Emergency Reporting Manual

To check the effectiveness of this system and internalize employees' response capabilities, an emergency reporting drill for serious accidents was conducted in 2025, targeting departments where accidents (including near misses) occurred. This drill was conducted on Production Group 1 at the Songtan Plant without prior notice, by assigning a training scenario in an environment similar to a real situation, to verify response procedures. The key response timeline and results according to the drill scenario are as follows.

Hanmi Science holds quarterly Industrial Safety and Health Committee meetings to discuss the direction and key policies of company-wide safety and health management. Through this, the company deliberates and resolves on safety and health policies, plans, and regulations, and operates a consultative body where employees and management participate together to exchange practical opinions.

Hanmi Science designates the week from April 28 to May 2 each year as 'Safety and Health Week' to strengthen the internal safety and health culture, implementing various events and awards with the goal of spreading safety and health culture and improving employee participation and awareness of internal safety and health culture.
